Fraser Venture departs River Heads (20min south of Hervey Bay) daily, landing at Wanggoolba Creek on Fraser Island - crossing time taking approximately 30 min.
Wanggoolba Creek is the entry point on to Fraser Island - it is directly opposite Eurong Beach Resort on the West Coast of Fraser Island.
How to get there:
From Hervey Bay - turn on to Elizabeth Street from Boat Harbour Drive at the roundabout near the Urangan Woolworths - follow road past airport - turning left on to the River Heads Road (which is signed) follow road all the way to the end - arriving at barge loading area. From Maryborough - follow the Maryborough - Hervey Bay road turning on to Boral Road - continuing through to River Heads Road which goes all the way through to barge departure point.
Ticket collection:
Ticket collection is at the ticket hut adjacent to the barge ramp. All vehicles must check in before boarding barge. Assemble vehicles in the marked area and be ready to board barge 20 min prior to departure time.

Departure times from Wanggoolba Creek daily at:

From 1 July 2008: 2.30 pm, 4.00 pm

* All Hervey Bay barge tickets are interchangeable. If a trailer is returning through Inskip - charge is one way Hervey Bay and one way Inskip.
