Both barges operate continuously between dawn and dusk departing Inskip Point daily, landing at the most Southern tip of Fraser, Hook Point. Crossing time takes approximately 10 minutes.
How to get there:
Turn off the Bruce Highway at Gympie onto the Tin Can Bay Road; continue following all Rainbow Beach signs to township (approximately 60 minutes traveling). From Rainbow Beach follow Inskip Point Road to its end – where you will see the white barges.
Ticket collection:
Tickets may be pre purchased at the Shell service station in Rainbow Beach (Main road coming into town on the left hand side) and discounts are available on fuel purchases made in conjunction with a barge ticket.

If returning to Hervey Bay, a top up of $25 per vehicle on top of return cost (including driver and 3 passengers) and $10 per extra passenger will apply to Rainbow Venture & Fraser Explorer return tickets.
